The LR44 (A76) Alkaline Battery

The popular LR44 Alkaline Button Cell is the battery of choice for several small appliances, such as watches, mini flashlights, laser pointers and alarm clocks. It has the same size and 1.5 volt output as the SR44 Silver Oxide Button Cell and lasts about half as long, but it costs about a tenth of the price.
